Aside from the different exciting individual Characters that I’ve created in the world of Dra’eknor (and there are plenty more to come). The Sey Order is a group I love and enjoy weaving their influence into the stories from our world.

In the vast, storied world of Dra’eknor, the Sey Order stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Ezlethar — a beacon of loyalty, courage, and a protector of peace. Its origins, rooted in the aftermath of an audacious attempt on the life of the First King, Joran the First, speak to the resilience and unity that define this land. Founded by Joran II and his steadfast companion, Zel Korah, the Order was born out of necessity but grew to embody the highest ideals of service and sacrifice.

The events that led to the creation of the Sey Order, occurring some 6000 years before “ELION,” (my soon to be published book) have left an indelible mark on the history of Ezlethar. Initially conceived as a clandestine force, the Order’s valiant deeds in safeguarding the Crown and ensuring the realm’s tranquility gradually elevated them from the shadows of secrecy to the annals of legend.

The recruitment of the Sey Emissaries, the esteemed agents of the Order, is a process enveloped in mystery. Yet, a poignant commonality threads through their ranks — many are orphans, chosen for their untethered loyalties and the unlikelihood of external influences corrupting their dedication. This selection criterion not only ensures the integrity of the Order but also fosters a profound sense of belonging and kinship among the Emissaries, for whom the Sey becomes not just a calling but a family.

After a decade of service, these guardians of Ezlethar are granted the liberty to marry, often finding their partners within the same hallowed ranks. Such unions are a reflection of the deep bonds formed in the line of duty, underscoring the notion that the Sey Order is more than an institution — it is a community, bound by shared values and mutual respect.

In the present timeline, figures such as Iybor and Syborn, brothers renowned for their wisdom and valor, epitomize the Order’s esteemed legacy. Their leadership and teachings are pillars upon which the current generation of Emissaries, including our protagonists Dei, Morte, and Hazleflar, stand as they navigate the challenges and adversities that beset them.

I thought I would share with you some details about this group because as must as you will hear alot about Sey Emissaries, I feel there’s no one book the completely captures their role in the Shaping of this Fantasy World.

Thanks for being part of the Journey.

Sam
